Update September 24, 2010
We received word about the Homecoming Parade. Our float will be loading on Cass Avenue just off Missouri Avenue, facing east. We will be right behind the 9th grade football float. Float judging will be at 1:00 pm so we all need to turn out by then to show our support by wearing the red. Welcome even if not wearing red. For those who ordered sweatshirts, they should be ready for distribution before the parade. Still expecting confirmation on that soon. Homecoming Game Friday Night! Section reserved for our class. Join us. There is still time to send in your reservation for the Reunion Dinner for Saturday, October 2 at 6:30. We are having the dinner early as there are other events planned that evening for Homecoming for All Ages. There is a celebration being held at the Armory in the Park, admission charge $8, starting at 8:00. Also, at 9:00 the Class of 1970 is opening their reunion up to Homecoming for All Ages at the Country Club where they will have a live band playing. Zizzers of all ages are invited to attend and enjoy the fellowship of other Zizzers. If you have not done so, please let us know by Tuesday, September 28 so we can arrange to have enough food for everyone. We have planned a fun evening and hope it is enjoyed by all! For those who ordered pictures, they will be sent out as soon as possible after the reunion. For those living in West Plains, they will be available for local pickup. Stay tuned.
Update September 18, 2010:
I am excited about the response we have been receiving for our 45th reunion. I noticed several names of graduates that I don't remember seeing at reunion before. Welcome! Things are falling in place for a great time. We got registered to participate in the parade for Homecoming on Friday afternoon. Current information is that the parade starts at 2:00 pm but we are to be in line by 1:oo on Friday afternoon, October 1. Lineup for the parade will be around the Lyber Building which is right near the Post Office. We don't know yet where we will be in the lineup but just look for us and join the fun!
Update September 11, 2010:
We have a challenge! Wayne has been challenged to wear his bib overalls to the reunion and has accepted the challenge. Now he is challenging all others to wear their bibs. This is just a reminder that the dress code is casual so you don't have to worry about wearing something fancy. We are who we are and the goal is to have fun. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there. We are getting registrations from people who haven't been to reunion before and hope to get more. The deadline for the shirts is fast approaching but there is still plenty of time to send in reservation for the dinner.

We are also planning to celebrate in the homecoming parade on Friday. We are going to have a hay wagon with bales of hay to sit on and decorated for our Class of '65 and us old folks are going to ride and wave at the folks and show that we can still have fun. (Vici is going to have a step stool so we can get up on the trailer.) Just cause we are getting older doesn't mean we are too old for fun yet! Hope you can join us. Don't have the details yet but will post them as soon as we know when and where to meet. Then we are planning to sit together at the homecoming game and root for our team and show we are still Zizzers. Once a Zizzer, always a Zizzer!
